The University Hall, Punjab, Lahore

A landmark colonial-era "Indo‑Saracenic" or “Anglo‑Mughal” style building designed by Bhai Ram Singh, with a prominent central clock tower and domed corner elements. The foundation stone was laid in 1905, and it faces the Lahore Museum, also designed by Bhai Ram Singh (`1858-1916) together with John Lockwood Kipling, the museum's head and father of Rudyard Kipling. Among the university's more famous alumni are Dalip Singh Saund, the first Indian-American Congressman, the Nobel laureate in chemistry, Har Gobind Khorana, and Allama Iqbal, for whom the old university campus is now named.
