Hindu Temple
An early lithographic postcard, and among the rarer ones, by the artist Paul Gerhardt. It was printed in Karli, outside Bombay, at the Ravi Varma Printing Press where Gerhardt worked as a lithographer.

A rare Dutch lithographic postcard showing what is likely a Rajput prince or warrior. Note the very skillful use of the white background to extend the man's shirt.
South Indian Woman
One of the more beautiful hand-tinted real photographic postcards. Identified only as a South Indian woman, it seems to have been printed in a French colony (Vietnam?) by a Chinese photographer.

[Original caption] Victoria Terminus, Bombay (City). Bombay is by far the most European in appearance of all the cities of India. Extensive lines of tramway pass through the broad city streets that are continuously lined with splendid buildings.
