Asking for Alms

The photographic original of one-half of the lithograph A Fair Exchange by W. Cooper. That postcard seems to have been made a few years previously (it is court-sized). Its existence shows again how much photographic originals were used as models for artists, if not copied almost entirely, as this one does the beggar's expository pose even if the person being pleaded to is completely different.
