A beautiful example by one of the premiere Lahore coloured postcard publishers, Peshawar-based D.C. Mehra and Sons. The Huzuri Bagh, Lahore facing directly across from the mosque entrance, is where Ranjit Singh held court through much of his reign, retreating to underground chambers in the summer. Today the square where the Tomb, the Mosque and the Fort all face each other is illuminated at night, allowing oneself to be transported all the more easily on a stroll into the past. Rooftop restaurants on the old walled city adjoinging the square also offer exceptional views.
