Guzarath [Gujarat] College, Ahmedabad

A crystal-clear collotype of an institution founded in 1860, and and vastly expanded in 1897 thanks to a grant from philanthropist Sardar Sir Chinubhai Madhavalal Bert. It expanded on numerous occasions since then, was the scene of a historic meeting led by Mahatma Gandhi in 1920. Its alumni include Vikram Sarabhai, the father of India's space program.
