Greetings from Delhi

Greetings from Delhi

c. 1908
13.90x

An early Greetings from Delhi postcard that seems to have been constructed from a number of other postcards given the way the titles appear on the images. Kashmir Gate and the Mutiny Monument in the center show how much early postcards of the city were defined by memories of the War of Independence in 1857. H.A. Mirza and Sons were the leading Delhi postcard publishers starting from about 1900 for thirty or so years.
