[Original caption] Rampart Row, Bombay (City). Bombay is a city of contrasts. Very different is the quiet grandeur of Rampart Row, with its massive buildings and open spaces, to the rush and turmoil of the industrial centre of the great city. It is the very variety that makes the city so charming. Truly it is said "Bombay is a beautiful Queen in silver armour and a girdle of gold."[end]

This particular card was used as a tea advertising card, and was mailed on April 30, 1909 by a salesman, to "Mr. A.J. Scrogins, Lexington, Ill., U.S.A.," likely a retailer. Below the Tuck's caption, this message was printed on the card:

[Original caption] There is an attraction besides architecture and scenery, and that is the delicious Indian and Ceylon teas produced in these countries. They are refreshing as a summer drink, iced and when served hot make a satisfying, luscious breakfast beverage. One teaspoonful makes two cups. Use absolutely boiling water. Steep five minutes only. This product can be enjoyed in perfection at home, for it is for sale by - H.F. Davis, Lexington. Ils. [end]
