Kempty Falls is one of the most iconic waterfalls in Mussoorie, India, located approximately 15 kilometers from the town center on the Chakrata Road. The waterfall cascades dramatically from a height of 40 feet, splitting into five distinct streams as it falls. The waterfall was developed as a tourist destination around 1835 by British officer John Mekinan. The name "Kempty" likely originated from the term "camp-tea," as British officers would organize tea parties at this scenic location during the colonial era.
