View of Bombay

An early postcard in excellent condition which gives a good sense of the colors intended without fading or restoration needed. The famous Watson's Hotel in the foreground, and further south is Wellington Fountain in the middle of what is now the Regal, Prince of Wales, NGMA circle. To the left of the fountain in this view is the Royal Alfred Sailors' Home (completed 1876), now the Bombay Council Hall. (Many thanks to Dr. Simin Patel, Bombaywalla, for her help.)
