Tukht Hill, better known as Takht-e-Suleiman hill, offers a wonderful view of the Srinagar. The famous Shankaracharya Temple, one of the oldest shrines in Kashmir valley, tops this hill and offers this view.

D. Macropolo & Co. was a major tobacco retailer and prolific postcard publisher based in Calcutta and Bombay, started in the 1860s and renowned for their hard-rolled cigarettes and cigars. The steady foot-traffic at their retail outlets must have supported the sale of postcards from their premises.
