Built by the British, the Murree General Post Office (GPO) crowns the commercial Mall an hour north of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. It was probably the most photographed spot in this hillstation, and still serves as the GPO for Pakistan's postal code area 47150 in northern Punjab.
