Although it is a single fakir at the doorway who is the subject of the postcard's title, it is the colors of the entrance to the Golden Temple in Amritsar that catch our eye. In fact, only two colors have been added with hand-tinting, imprecisely, but even so the effect sparkles. Note how some of the panel designs have changed over time by comparing to this postcard of the Golden Temple entrance.
