Founded in 1871, an exclusive club for elite members of Pakistani society in the heart of Karachi. Local inhabitants (of what is now Pakistan) were not allowed to become members until after Pakistan's Independence in 1947. A swimming pool, Southern Italian-style sandstone buildings and a fine restaurant are all located on the vast grounds. Women may still not become members in their own right.
