The Victoria Clock Tower in Jacobabad, Sindh, was built to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee celebrated on February 16, 1887. It was designed by Colonel S. S. Jacob, executive engineer of the Jeypore state and relative of General John Jacob whm the town is named after. It stands 60 feet tall and 8 feet wide, considered one of the taller clock towers in the continent. Situated in the heart of the old bazaar in Jacobabad, it was erected through subscriptions from local zemindars, inhabitants, the Hindu Panchayat, and the District Local Fund Board.

The rich blues of the reflection and sky suggest that the postcard may first have been printed as a cyanotype on blue paper, then hand-tinted.
