From one of the very first sets of Kashmir postcards published, by the photographer Fred Bremner who made a photographic journey to the principality in 1902. This identical postcard also appeared from Bremner, but titled View from the 1st Bridge, Srinagar Kashmir, showing that titles were a flexible and probably adjusted for marketing reasons.
That card was mailed to a Mrs. H. Gay, Worli Hill, Worli Bombay from Lahore on July 2, 1907: "29/6/07 I sent one yesterday but it did not get posted as it was a holiday. So this will be two in all. No news. lo[ve?]."
