Arthur Emmer at "Oxford House" in Meerut were and dealt in many things from a close reading of the two signboards on this postcard: Cabinetmakers, Upholsterers, Storers, Auctioneers, Cleaners, Cigarettes, Locks, "Sparklings" and more. It is likely that a card like this was commissioned from Mooli Dhur & Sons and sold or used as an advertisement or for messages by Mr. Emmer.
