English Aircraft Shot Down

c. 1915
13.80x
8.70cm

A German World War I postcard showing an English aircraft, Punjab 29 Rawalpindi, shot down during combat. Note the careful arrangement captured by the photograph: the man examining the controls in the cockpit, the German officers in the background near the front, the men in the back. Postcards like this were part of the propaganda warfare between the German and French/British sides.
