A postcard like this was the result of a careful and perhaps exhausting pose by the dancers. Note the man holding up the backdrop, which probably covered a studio wall or other scene. Perhaps the photographer wanted the dazzling dresses of the dancers, and even the musicians, note how their outfits seem to match as well. Their bows are ready. One of the most popular of the many dancing girl postcards by Gobindram Oodeyram, Jaipur's leading photography studio.
