Satyendra Prasanna Sinha, 1st Baron Sinha (24 March 1863 – 4 March 1928), was a prominent British Indian lawyer and statesman who achieved several notable firsts, including being the first Indian to become Advocate-General of Bengal (1905), first Indian to join the Viceroy's Executive Council (1909), first Indian member of the British House of Lords (1919), and the first Indian governor of Bihar and Orissa (1920). He had established a successful legal practice in Calcutta after returning from England in 1886. He became Standing Counsel to the Government of India in 1903 and was knighted in 1915. His political career included Presidency of the Indian National Congress in 1915 and played a crucial role in passing the Government of India Act of 1919 through the House of Lords.

This French postcard was made in connection with the the Paris Peace Conference following World War I. It began on January 18, 1919, and the formal peace process continued until July 1923 when the Treaty of Lausanne was signed.
