Naseem Banu (4 July 1916 – 18 June 2002) was a prominent Indian actress who rose to fame in the 1930s and 1940s. Known for her exceptional beauty, she was often referred to as "Pari-Chehra" (fairy face). She made her acting debut in 1935 with "Khoon Ka Khoon" (Hamlet), playing the role of Ophelia. Her most famous role came in 1939 with the film "Pukar," where she played Empress Nur Jahan. She married Mohammed Ehasan in 1940 and together they started a production house called Taj Mahal Pictures. She was also recognized for her superb acting skills and played roles opposite heroes who often were much younger. She died in Mumbai in 2002.
