Country Boats in Buckingham Canal, Madras

A nice, moody use of sepia, much like another water-themed postcard by the firm perhaps taken at the same time, Palms, Chepauk.

The Cooum river flows through central Chennai and drains into the Bay of Bengal at Chepauk, the northern boundary of Marina Beach. In the Chepauk stretch, it runs past landmarks like the University of Madras (Chepauk campus) and near the Chepauk Palace precinct before passing under/near Napier Bridge toward the ocean.
