A Mohamedan dancing Girl in Attitude
This so-called "chromo-collotype" card was created by running an image derived from a black and white photograph through multiple color runs, after each color had dried, creating rich and translucent images.
Zenana in the Fort, Agra
A sharp diagonal composition; in the distance is the Taj Mahal. The zenana refers to the women's quarters in this 16th century fort, largely completed under the Mughal Emperor Akbar.
Municipal Hall, Bombay
Bombay’s modern municipal headquarters was planned after the municipal corporation’s formation (1865), with the foundation stone for the new building laid in 1884. The building was completed in 1893 to designs by architect F. W.
High Court of Judicature, Bombay
The Bombay High Court is one of the oldest High Courts of India. Constructed of black basalt, the Bombay High Court building was built in the 1870s and faces the Oval Maidan where aspiring young cricketers hone their paces.

It is unclear where this image is from, but elephants were used during colonial times in Assam, Bengal and Malabar to haul logs out of forests.
Mahatma Gandhi
An early postcard of Gandhi, signed by K.L. [?] Joshi and dated 1921, not long after he had been termed the "Mahatma" by Rabindranath Tagore (1915) and had launched the First Non-Cooperation Movement in 1920.
Hindu Woman.
Hindu woman wearing a white sari. Getting the shades and printing correct, especially the white, on this card would have required great skill, and apparently was done by the leading early German postcard printer Knackstedt and Roder.

Postmarked with no message at the Sea Post Office, likely Bombay May 6, 1905 and sent to Miss Adelaide McConway (sp?), 252 Bishop St., Montreal, Canada.
