The Mall Murree

The Mall Murree

c. 1930
13.90x
8.40cm

One of those postcards that illustrates the elasticity of time. The protagonist in the foreground is blurry because of the long exposure, perhaps a second or two, that the photographer required for the shot. Someone towards the left in the entryway to the Church is also blurry, as are a few others. The title is somewhat sharply cut into the glass of the negative. Around the middle of the image one can barely takeout "Jaggat Singh Sons, Chemists and Druggists." Across the frame what could be a British woman and official are striding into the Mall.

Likely Baljee, postcard size but without any printed back on photographic paper.
