An early shipping line advertising card from Germany, from one of the largest late 19th century shipping firms that only in 1970 was merged into Hamburg America Line to form Hapag-Lloyds. While this is a beautiful lithographic card, note that the woman is actually more Arab looking than Indian, and the landscape is pretty generic. Many early European postcards conflated "the East" or the "the Orient."
