Among the earliest known postcards of Kolkata, by a local and likely Austrian, photographer. Note the four tiny titles below each vignette for those eager to know. One cannot help but admire the sophisticated design that went into pulling together the disparate images with vegetation, cleverly perching Ganesha atop a column next to the woman, offering a wide view of the city, and in the bottom left, showing the final event for many of its residents.
