A most unusual postcard when one realizes that the sign is for the publisher, Harnam Dass and it is likely that part of the firm and its owner (in the all green kurta just right-of-center?) are among the people proudly posing in the bazaar.
Phoenix Printing Works was one of the largest publishers of postcards of political leaders, including this less common casual view of Rashtrapati [President] Nehru in sandals.
This is probably a Kodak real photo postcard taken in Saddar Bazaar in Rawalpindi. On the back is written "Pindi City I am standing on the road." One can see a British soldier bottom center facing the camera, left arm on his hip.
Note how every frame is labelled and the entire ensemble unusually titled "Recollections," which was only occasionally used on multi-view postcards, with "Greetings" the standard term.

Curiously this view was not one of the more popular Clifton & Co. postcards, one of the first publishers in the city, despite its many scenes and informational value. From the building columns and the firm's location it is likely to be from Bombay.
