Shravak Temple, Girnar
One of the earliest postcards of this collection of Jain Temples which date from roughly the 8th century through 15th century, although there is apparently evidence of the area as a site of pilgrimage from the 3rd century BCE.

J. D. Gondhalekar (1909-1981) was an Indian artist from a Pune family that owned a successful printing press. He studied at the Slade School of Art in London and in the 1950s served as the Dean of the J. J. School of Art in Bombay.

Zalra Tank, Ajmere
Better known as the Jhalra natural water tank adjacent to the tomb of the 13th century Sufi Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti. Hundreds of thousands of people come here each year for the urs (the anniversary of the death) of a Sufi saint.
Requisition of goats for the Indian troops
A postcard showing goats being marched through the French countryside to feed Indian troops fighting on the Allied side during World War I. These scenes evoked great interest among the local French population and were shown on a number of postcards.
